This Privacy Policy explains how Go Romana Transport (“Go Romana”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use transport.goromana.com and our transportation booking services. Go Romana Transport is operated by BENNYENTP, EIRL (Dominican Republic) and BMB Global Trading, LLC (United States), who are the controllers of your personal data. We arrange transportation that is operated by an independent licensed operator and its drivers. By using our services you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

  • Booking & contact details: name, email, phone number (with country code), and your preferred contact method.
  • Trip details: pickup and drop-off locations and map coordinates, dates and times, passenger count, flight numbers, cruise ship and timing, luggage, child-seat needs, and any special requests.
  • Booking-for-someone-else: if you book for another person, the guest's name and phone number.
  • Payment information: your deposit is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data as an independent processor.
  • Drivers/operators (staff): for driver onboarding we collect national ID (cédula), driver's license, and a headshot photo. These are sensitive documents handled with restricted access.
  • Technical data: device/browser information and, with your consent, analytics usage data (see Cookies).

How and why we use it (legal bases)

  • To provide your transportation — book, confirm, assign a driver, and complete your trip (performance of a contract).
  • To communicate with you — confirmations, driver details, and service updates by email and, if you choose, WhatsApp or phone (contract / legitimate interests).
  • To take payment — process your deposit and record the balance (contract).
  • To operate and secure our site — fraud and bot prevention, debugging (legitimate interests; legal obligation where applicable).
  • To measure and improve our site — analytics, only with your consent.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations — tax and record-keeping (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We share personal data only as needed to provide the service, with service providers acting on our behalf:

  • The fulfilling transportation operator and your assigned driver — the trip details needed to perform your trip (your driver receives the balance to collect, not your payment-card or deposit details).
  • Stripe — payment processing and invoicing.
  • Google / Firebase — database, file storage, authentication, calendar, and address/maps autocomplete.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Cloudflare — bot protection (Turnstile).
  • WhatsApp / Meta — booking notifications, where used.
  • FlightAware — flight tracking for airport transfers.
  • Google Analytics — usage analytics, with your consent.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — assists in reading uploaded driver documents during onboarding.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data where required by law.

International transfers

We operate in the Dominican Republic and serve customers in the United States and Europe. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and trip records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. Driver documents are kept while the driver is active and for a limited period afterward.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. EU/EEA & UK (GDPR): you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California (CCPA/CPRA): you have rights to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell or share your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and Google Analytics as described in our Cookie Policy. Analytics runs only with your consent; until then it operates in a cookieless mode.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without a parent or guardian making the booking. Passengers may include children traveling with the booking party.

Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit, and reputable processors to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above.
